Species interactions in an invasion

Invasive alien plants enter into a novel community where they no longer encounter the species they evolved with. This can be a benefit in the case of herbivores or a problem in case of mutualist bacteria. My research has and continues to look into the consequences of the shifted interaction landscape on plant traits and chemically mediated interactions in the invasive garden lupine.
